A warning to readers, who may be in love with me from afar and think I'm a beautiful woman without any imperfections....please stop reading now, this post may be a little narly. Just stop reading and continue on loving me, haha ;)
This post is dedicated to the lovely bumps that are occurring on my face, neck and even on my arms. I wouldn't consider it acne, but it resembles it. Another practitioner in the challenge is a doctor, Allison, who focuses on anti-aging and wellness, she was gracious enough to provide us with a nutritional outline during the challenge. She outlined what we should be consuming before class and after and how our body may react to all this "cleansing." She phrased it that we are detoxing through the skin, unlike some other eliminations that may come out other places. Well, it's happening to me. After 9 classes and starting my 10th momentarily, I am seeing the affects.
I am not sure how to treat it, but I am happy that it's happening. I feel I'm getting rid of the crap that's ruminating in my body. From this day forward, so about the next 20 days I am going to eat a combination of raw, vegan, non-dairy. Allison mentioned it would be helpful to do it now because it would give us a boost in the detoxification process. The liver, the gut and everything else.
So with that said my diet will consist of LOTS of fruits and vegetables, protein in the form of nuts, beans, tofu and whey protein shakes and whole grain carbs. I will try to time my meals appropriately with my classes and stay away from fats when I know they won't have enough time to digest before class.
The past 8 days I had the wrong mentality I was thinking, "oh well since i'm doing a 30 day challenge I can eat a whole loaf of bread with butter and cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner." FALSE. While I'm not seeing a fluctuation in my weight, I'm seeing it elsewhere.
Home from work today for Columbus Day so I have just completed my first class of the day, and the 2nd is coming up at 9:30am.
