I've known Gina since 3rd Grade. Our mothers went to grad school together and both became teachers, after grad school they parted ways, however ended up moving to the same town on Long Island once they had children. Turns out they both had daughters, and both were only children. Gina and I have been through it all and I'm so lucky to still have her in my life. I couldn't help but think how the celebration of Gina's little one to come was during the challenge which is a benefit for The Grace Fund.
Looking beautiful, as always. |
As you know The Grace Fund gives money to families who want to adopt however can't afford the adoption fees. I thought it a perfect time to be celebrating welcoming another child into the world, especially because Gina did struggle with fertility at first. She took the opportunity to make her journey vocal, here is her blog.
It was nice to be in the company of my friends. They were asking me so many questions and offering their support. They even questioned how I was able to make it to the shower, "I thought you can't miss a day? Does your instructor know?!" I explained the rules and how I'd be double up Monday. 30 classes in 30 days!
Gina is due in early December and I couldn't be more excited. My dear friend, Hilary, who also blogs about the adventures of mommy-hood, helped me make a unique gift for Baby C. Gina and her hubby love the "Honey Badger" YouTube video, seen here. So I asked Hilary, who has a booming onesie making buisness, to make me a Honey Badger onesie with the coined phrase, "Honey-badger don't care." Gina uses this phrase often so I'm hoping Baby Charlie adopts it as well.

I love you, Gina Marie. I'm so happy for the bundle of love that's coming so soon!
Class #8 today at 4pm!
